“只是普通的印度人，真实的掌控者还是政治家”：往前除了看doctor who当中的一集穿回1947年的印巴边境，对印巴分治几乎没有其他了解，惯性思考是印度和巴基斯坦的宗教问题和内部政斗引向分治。在英介入之前，各宗教和谐如手足，而二战之后英国想刮走最后一勺甩弃印度这个包袱，助力国内宗教矛盾引导印巴分治。片里采访了几位学者大概呈现印巴分治背后的故事点，对小白来说很受益。对印巴暴力的一小段描述最震动，人们用棍子将路人打死，女性被强暴被割去乳房去投井，什么在唆使煽动暴力？权力在打造什么？暴力和死亡弥漫普通人之间，权力交织任意捏造整个印度半岛。什么又是历史？盯住次大陆看，习惯用国别史的角度盯住国内的宗教矛盾，把果成因，忽略国别史和世界史的综合角度看历史问题，这是对点点思考。
